2 335i coupe in 3 days

i picked up a Silver 335 coupe on 7/17 evening. On 7/18 i went back to dealer for the floor mats. When i left the dealership after two blocks, car's idle was really rough and Check engine light was on. I headed back to dealer to see what going on and they wouldn't found out the problem. on 7/19 morning, i recieved a call from the service advisor saying that it was the fuel pump failure after 58 miles on the odometer. the car only had 32 miles when i pick it up. i was told the fuel pump was on world wide back order for 2-3 months by my service advisor. on 7/19 evening, my sales called me said they willing to take back the car and so.... here is my 2nd 335i coupe in 3 days.

What the hell! That suxs man...but at least the dealership found you another one. Are you happy with the color/options of the second one? I would not have taken it if it wasn't exactly what I wanted or if they didn't give a big discount!

Yeah the second one better have had all the options you wanted + some for your trouble, or at least a discount. But knowing BMW, at best it has all the options you originally purchased.

Did you get some of your same specs on the replacement? Or did they give you some sort of deal? That's rough man. As long as you're happy, I guess it's all good!

Wow, 58 miles it failed.
That is a record I'm sure.
How did a dealer in So. Cal have an E92 on the lot available for you to just jump right into? They are pretty much all only available on order and if a dealer orders more, they are gone in hours.

And why did the first E92 you ORDERED have 32 miles on it when you picked it up? That would not have flown with me. It should NOT have been driven by ANYBODY if you ordered it.
It should of had like 3-5 miles on the odometer at most!

lol @ failing at 58 miles, just ridiculous. BTW IMO the silver looks better, if you liked the silver that's what you should have gotten!

Purchase or lease.

You should really have paid no more money if it was a lease.
They were expecting you to pay more for a different car you did not order with options you did not necessarily want because the first car you DID order with the options you DID want failed?
That's BS.
For what it's worth the second one (sparkling graphite I think) looks better than the Silver on the E92

You're lucky that there actually was another available and another dealer was willing to part with one.

Why are you typing so big?

So, fuel pumps are on a world wide 2-3 month back order, but BMW still hasn't officially awknowledged there's a problem?

Have they even done anything to fix the pumps? Or are they still in denial, thinking that it's impossible for them to ever make a mistake?

Bastards..

go here, file a complaint, it seems the only way to get BMW to do anything about this will be if they are forced to.

I'm sure they dont want to shell out $1200 per HPFP world wide, but this is rediculous.

I kind of wonder if BMW dealers aren't already doing this... playing musical fuel pumps with customer cars or new cars arriving from orders... to muzzle the loudest barks so to speak...
