Detail shops in Portland

Any recomendations for high quality detail shops in PDX? I went to a shop called 'Dust to Diamonds' in the pearl once with my previous M and it was a disaster. They managed to strip the gunmetal finish off of two of my OEM wheels with some acidic solvent and over buffed my my hood in two places. I've been wary of detail shops since, but I'd love to find a good shop.

I strongly suggest you call Jon (the owner) of Uptown as they do an AMAZING job. They're trusted with the new BMW's we send to detail as well as Monte Shelton Jaguar's new cars. Tell him Ty from Rasmussen sent you.

Oh and they do all my family's cars as well.

edgarj hows tricks? hey if you can't find anything you really like down south, shoot me a pm and I'll hook you up with a place in Seattle. I know it's a haul for ya, but this place specializes in "show cars".

Thanks guys. I'll try Uptown, as SEA is a bit of a haul for detailing. Thanks!

Related to this - any recommendations for just a regular car wash place in between full detailing, something to get light dirt, bugs, etc. off? I'm willing to go to a detailer that offers a simple wash, but I'd rather not deal with needing an appointment.

Both Portland and Vancouver are convenient for me.

Thanks!

(Ty - we met a week or 2 ago: I had the scratched right passenger door handle. It looks perfect again now!)

Loran! I'm glad the door handle turned out well.

Uptown will wash your car for you as well, although I'm not sure what they require for advance notice.

I know this thread has been quiet for a while (almost 2 years!), but I'm in need of a recommendation, please... I've found Details By Mark over on the east side, but they are on the expensive side. Any other options? Thanks!
