Exclamation Black stuff from exhaust + 4x4 light on = HPFP failing?

Need HELP!
I noticed recently black stuff (water, oil?) coming out of my mufflers.

Is it something I should be worried about? I do have symptoms of HPFP failing like: long crank and shaking when engine is cold; noticed power loss. Also had few times engine light and SES light on.

Few weeks back while driving in traffic (15-25mph) engine started to "choke" RPMs were going up and down. When I stopped on the side (4x4 and brake lights came on) engine was struggling for a while and then died, after restarting everything was fine.

Any thoughts, maybe someone experienced something similar?
Could this be HPFP?

Nearly any DSC fault will cause the 4x4 light. Without any codes from both the DSC and ECU, we're all just guessing.

This happened to me but my issue was a loose terminal in the battery...Check to see if battery is good or terminals is connected tight
