OEM BMW Performance Exhaust European Version
Hi All,
I was wondering if it's at all possible to order the European Version of the OEM BMW Performance Exhaust for the E90 335i and get it shipped to the States? I currently have the US version PE but it's way too loud in the morning during the cold start and I go to work before 7. My neighbors aren't exactly too happy about it and neither is my wife. I love the sound of the PE, but I can't really live with the loud cold start either. So I was wondering if it's possible to order the PE European version, otherwise I'd have to go back to stock. Any response is appreciated! Thanks! |

do you still have your original exhaust and does it have the flapper in it? If so you could have a good welding shop cut it out of the OEM and weld it into your PE. = Euro PE!

Then let me know please if you sell your US spec PE.
On another note and maybe more helpful, my brother and some other family live in germany, I don't go that much but my parents are in germany a bit more often (I live with them in FL), so IDK how this could be done....but let me know if you figure sth out. Obviously you would need to figure out how much it is to ship exhaust from germany to the usa... GL and let me know when you have to get rid of your US PE... |

I have that exhaust and believe me when the flap is closed, morning starts are very loud. I am leaving home around 5:30 am each morning

Maybe I'll just get my stock tips with flap welded, I thought about it, but I just wasn't sure if that's the best idea. |

What's the muffler part number for the 335IS? How much would that cost and would it fit for the E90? Does anyone have a good video link that has a good audio? Couldn't find any good ones. Thanks for the ideas.

I believe the PE and the IS exhaust are made by different companies.
BMW Performance Exhaust I think is made in the UK, John Cooper Works? The History of the Modern JCW Tuning Kit "Although no longer producing their own tuning kits or accessories under the name John Cooper Works, Mike Cooper’s Cooper Car Company develops and supplies car accessories for various other corporate clients. The Cooper Car Company supplies BMW AG with hardware components for the current MINI Hatch aftersales tuning kit as well as sports air filters and sports exhausts for the BMW 3 Series. These parts bear the name John Cooper Works or BMW Performance respectively." Last edited by shortseller; 08-23-2012 at 07:36 AM.. |

So, let us know once it arrives if you see made by Boysen in Germany stamped on the exhaust. A photo would be nice! |

the PE is a factory 335i muffler, thats been cut open and had certain baffles removed. which is why it looks identical but with a weld through the middle and a badge welded on. stop clouding the thread with bad information. the 335iS exhaust is made the same way the PE is modified from the supplier, with the addition of an exhaust flap.
in the sponsor forum there is someone selling 335iS mufflers
