e92 328 Exhaust Sound
Does the 328 have an exhaust noise? Not necessarily as loud as the 335 or G35 but if other drivers could here our exhaust from another car. I drive a 328 so I can't really hear my own exhaust unless I roll the windows down and don't know what other people here when I drive by......

every car has an exhaust note of some sort. the 328 note is definitely different that the more throaty note of the 335 - it's softer and more subdued.
why don't have have a friend drive by you while accelerating so you can hear it for yourself. |

If you drive your car in the forest and no one is around, does the exhaust really make a sound?

I don't trust anyone driving my car...... I'm a little anal when it comes to my cars and my electronics.
I think it sounds great when I roll my window down. It seems to get stronger if I really rev the engine while driving, after that everywhere on the RPM range is a lot more noticeable, like something opened up after WOT that wasn't open before.

IMO the 328i sounds a little raspier than the 335i, but I don't know if I'd say it is softer or more subdued, at least not under acceleration, just that it sounds different.
If you don't want to have a friend driving your car, put a camcorder on a tripod and drive past it a few times.

It is definitely much more quieter than the 335 but I notice it's getting louder(maybe with break-in?). It's louder than I thought it was because the cabin is so damn quiet. Feel it's not as throaty as the E46 330i but then again it might be the reduced cabin noise level again.
