IM so sick of these god damn 335i vs m3 comparos!

THIS IS A BMW ENTHUSIAST forum. if you are really an enthuiast u would stop this whole oh the m3 is not that much faster. i know the m3 will give a totally differen driving experience than a 335. stop comparing a procede with it also.

no offense to vinshu or anyone else but no one knows what the long term affects of this procede will cause to a car correct?

bmw know what they are doing and ARE NOT IDIOTS. TRUST me, they have been in the business longer than most of us have been born.

i can say with comfort that whenver anyone test drives the m3 and the 335i they will see the difference. If not then you prolly aren't really an enthusiast. the m3 body also looks quite different. only thing that it shares are like the doors and minor stuff.

ALSO, today i saw the e92 m3 in beverly hills with no covers. jus a guy driving it with the DLR plate. it was interlagos blue. my jaw dropped when i sa it. there were lambos bentleys and such but everyones eyes were just on the m3. the m3 will handle better, feel more like a race car with its high revving engine. I used to own a s2k and thats a high reving car. high revving cars have a totally different way to drive it. keeping it at 5500rpm and jus gunning it to the redline is the greatest feeling.

LONG POST but i jus had t get this off my chest. when the m3 gets tested the i assume the 0-60 will be around 4.6 or such.

everyone is just baggin on the car because they cant afford it and jus need to reassure their insecurities. get over it please.

Cant agree with you more.
Frankly, i really dont care what other say, "watch me burn you with my modded 135 or 335." If it helps you sleep better at night knowing that you can beat a M after modifying your car then good for you.

Although i hate these m3 vs 335, g37 vs 335, 135 vs 335 threads and i agree with most of the things you said, ill play devils advocate here.

It seems to me you are doing another comparo of e92 m3 vs 335. You say how much better the new m3 is going to be. Your trying to prove that the m3 is soo much better then the 335 because it "handles better, has more of a race car feel because its high reving" and that the body pannels are completely different.

Oh and i wouldn't start insulting people and saying people are just jealous of the m3 because they cant afford it. Plenty of people on here have more then enough money to own a m3. Maybe they wanted something more along the lines of a daily driver. Something more comfortable to drive everyday then the harsh ride of the m3 so they chose a 3'er

But then again there has to be a reason, as to why some of those very same people are hating on the M3, dont ya think?

Serious tho... count me in the "I dont give a darn what anyone else thinks, I get what I want!" group, They can compare gummi bears for all I care...

I think people are talking about how the difference between the two for everyday driving, which 99% of 335 and 60% of M3 owners will ever do, is soo very small.

..sick of comparos???

penny31: Why on earth do you feel compelled to comment on who is and is not an "enthusiast"? What you are sick of, why people choose M3 or 335, and what they can afford and why, are of no interest to anyone. Nobody cares what you saw, nobody cares what you think. Your arrogant post has no place here.
Just a thought.

My thoughts exactly.

OP, If you are so sick of the comparos, why did you just make another one yourself?

Also, I wonder if you have even owned an M3?

Sounds like you're the insecure one who needs to get over yourself. You haven't even been near an M3, let alone driven one, and you are already declaring it to have a race car feeling. Sounds like you're the one who's not a true enthusiast.

Possibly the lamest post I've read in awhile.

Sick of comparo posts yet posts a comparo.

And, WTF else do you do on a car forum other than post about cars?

Heck, if you've only ridden a horse, a 1979 Pinto would feel like the greatest thing since sliced bread! Evaluations of cars have to be made in comparison to other cars in the target market.

.

Since he wants something new, instead of comparing the cars let's start comparing the comparo posts and see which one is best. Loser leaves.

X2. This sort of stuff is what people do on car forums. As for being sick of the threads, it's not like people are ambushing you in other threads; they tend to be pretty well labeled, so just skip the ones with titles like, well, like this one.

I am living this post right now. Just sold my E46 M3 Coupe. New 335xi sitting at the dealer. They are different cars with different purposes.

My goal - turn the 335xi into an all wheel drive M impersonator.

I know the new car will be as fast or faster when I'm done with it (Procede, etc.). I'll probably never match the handling of the M. Give and take I guess - I need all wheel drive now that I live in Vermont.

Cars rule!

The point is this -- who cares if a modded 335i is faster than an M3? That's great, but we'd all rather have an M3.

Criky, as the late Steve Irwin would say.

If you haven't realized by now that the 335i and the M3 are the same car with different stock engines and tuning...

My non-modded 328i is better than all of them.
