scary... all of a sudden the car wanted to eject me.
so i was driving on the highway in california. highway 280 southbound heading from san francisco towards millbrae. i started my destination from san francisco. got in the car, put ont he set belt, turn on the engine. and drove off. right when i was exiting the highway from 280 to millbrae. my door popped. it didn't open, but it just popped open. just like the same thign when u didn't close the door hard enough but it stays closed with a gap. i was like WTF? how can this happen? the door was closed shut when i started the car and the car also auto locked.
has this happened to someone before? i felt like i was being ejected, very scary. |

If you have your seatbelt on nothing to worry about.
When I took some helicopter lessons we drove with the doors off. There were a few times we flew sideways. Now that is scary.

It's a new future. You must of pissed off your car and it had enough and tried to find a new owner.

A solenoid could've malfunctioned. Funny how everyone thinks it's a transformer or a lie. Don't make your car mad...

So the door was closed cause you didn't get a chime. The door then auto
locked as you started driving. And then all of a sudden without any intervention it just popped open? Hallucinations are a common side effect of illegal substance abuse, according to medical science. Stop before it's too late. |

noktekniq,
Yes I have had the same experience. It happened to me three times on my E90 325i. There is no warning that the doors were not properly closed but when I went over bumps, the door that wasn't closed tightly came ajar as per your description. I complained and the service center mentioned that I needed a software update to increase the sensitivity of the door sensors. After the update, no more problems for me. Hope this helps.

and then it auto locked too but through some divine intervention it popped open and I'm the one who makes stupid comments? Google some rehab centers in your area. They can help you And relax...we all found your post amusing and didn't take it seriously. Hint: You should do the same with the responses. |
