If the 135i doesn't cost too much and handles great.. maybe.

Even though there's a chance it will smoke your 335i?

Though if I had a 335i myself I doubt I'd consider either..

Heck yeah! I'm going to dump my 335i, just so I can upgrade to the 135i!

Woo hoo... can't wait!!!

To me, speed is not everything. I would not take a depreciation hit to trade my car down to a 135i.

Stupidest reply ever.

There will always be a faster car than you out there. Big deal. I'm content in what I have, why can't people be content without being pissed off?

True, there will always be faster cars. I'm sure not everyone will be effected, but i'm sure some people will experience a punch in the gut feeling when a 135i comes flying pass them... definitely here where there is an autobahn.

LOL, that's not it at all.
That would be like all the 5 series guys being pissed the 3 series car whip them.
And all the 7 series guys being pissed that the 5 AND 3 series can whip them.

The same engines have been used in the 3 and 5 series forever.
The 3 series has always been lighter, therefore the 3 series has always handled better and was faster.
You think a guy in the 750i cares that the 550i guy can out accelerate him?
What about that the 335i can whip the 750i?

You could say the same with the old Z3 and Z4

The Z4M is lighter and faster than the E46 M3 it shared it's engine with?
Nobody is buying the Z4M because of it's price, lack of space, and doesn't look as good as the E46 M3 did.

It has little to nothing to do with acceleration.
Let the 135i guy out accelerate the 335i by a car length or so in the 1/4 mile. It's now the bottom rung car series for BMW and looks ackward.
Had it looked like a mini 335i Coupe, not like a Z4 mated with the old E46 330i and the "scared cat" headlights look more people might cross over.

Actually I think the Xenon headlights look pretty close to the e92 just not as sexy. But yes, the halogens are terrible!

Lets wait for the reviews/and to drive the car.

In europe the 1 series reviews harsh ride is a major factor for not getting great reviews.

I can't say the 1 series that I drove was all that bad.

Also the 1 series here is only offered in a hatch-back form. They don't have the coupe body style yet.

Lets pray they get it right by time it gets to the U.S. though.

Edit:

Looks like they will be offering it here this year, I will test drive it as soon as its available and let you guys know what I think .

i like it from some angles. i wouldn't trade in my 335i for it immediately, but i might consider it in the future. i think smaller cars are going to be more common and more necessary as energy prices continue to rise.
