You are correct unless you get the 19" optional rims (style 401). They are staggered so the rears are 255s.

Probably the one thing I dislike most about the car. I know there's an argument for a square setup, but the 335i definately needs more rubber in the rear. Having said that, I like the style 397 sport line wheels a lot, just wish they made a 8.5j or 9j.

Mine has just two in the rear.

That's why I have the staggered 19"setup and the rears are still a tad small tbh(optically)

Cheers

Has anyone installed wider tires on the Sport line wheels? I want to get the RFTs off. I also have a 335i Sport line. The tires look narrow. I need a all season tire due to being in Germany and think they will work here due to the mild winters where I live in the country. Any suggestions? I am not going to pay out the a$$ for winter tires.

245 is probably the max you can get away with.

Anyone know if BMW sells wider rims in 12' sport style? I was hoping to just replace the two rear wheels with that can handle wider tires.

My understanding is that for Germany, dedicated snows are required for winter driving. "All seasons" are described by many BMW drivers as "no seasons"!

All season tires are allowed in Germany during winter with out having any trouble by the German Police. I have asked them a few times and they all say the same thing.dedicated winter tires would be best but all seasons will work. They told me not to use Summer tires in winter because that would get a fine if pulled over or in a accident.I want to get those factory RFTs off. I do not drive my BMW 135 or 335 in the winter much so I was just going to get some all seasons so I can if I have to drive in the winter. I also have a 318i that has both winters and summers so, we drive it the most in the winter. The tires need to have the M/S on them and the Germans will be okay with them and are good for winter season.
