Leased X5, wheel/tire proction package price reduction
While going over the lease paperwork, we were offered the standard $30 extra/mo over 36 months for wheel/tire coverage through BMW. We passed on this, and then a few minutes later were told we could get the same thing for an extra $10/mo, with no change in the other lease terms. This seemed worth it ($360 over the lease, so even if you damage just one RF tire, it pays for itself).
Obviously the dealership would not offer this if they didn't come out ahead even at the lower price point, but I just found it weird that they would try for $30/mo extra, and then drop to $10. He mentioned something about the lower number being available due to the interest they got from the lease, but that might have just been BS.

I did get it, but only have 18s on the X5, so wasn't really worried about the wheels. The point of the thread was to see if other people were offered this by the finance manager for $360 total vs the original $1080 offer for it 5 minutes before.

I was offered it for 1250 on my x5 and negotiated it to 699 which I paid for separately. They offered it for only 399 on my son's 328i and I took it as is. Tire package is essential. Good job for getting it lower.
