So I have a shit load of little scratches all over my car and want to get it cleaned up and shiny looking..

Some are deeper than others but want to get as much out as possible..

what's my best option?

I'm trying to get it professionally done but i know there's plenty of different options to get rid of the scratches so hoping you guys can let me know what my best option is.. also if you could let me know about how much it'll cost me that'd be awesome!

Wanna hear all opinions and personal experiences would be best, thanks guys!

For swirls, I generally use Meguiar's ultimate compound followed by a polish and wax.

you do m105 on an orange or surburf pad. that should pull most out but be careful. last resort is wet sanding

I was doing some research on Meguiar's Ultimate Compound and came across your post. I have some scratches and swirls on my hood and I'm trying to get rid of them so what you do is us the Meguiar's ultimate compound then polish? Isn't the compound a stronger polish itself? What polish do you use? I found that Poorboy's World SSR2.5 then using SSR1 are the best. But wouldn't a compound, then a medium strength polish, then a very light polish be too rough on the clear coat? After doing this I'm planning on using Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax 2.0.

Also before doing all this do you have to strip off all existing wax? Dawn dish soap? Or can I work over it with the compound and polish? And when should I clay bar?

The reason I'm doing all this now is because I went to the track and this guy in the car ahead went of track causing him to throw mud all over my car. You can see a pic of the damage on a recent thread. There are a few light scratches and scuffs here and there and one fairly deep one on the center of my hood (looks like it went through the clear coat but not the paint.

What kind of scratches are we talking about? If they are swirls on the clear coat that you cannot feel with your fingernail- those can be buffed out.

However, if you got keyed, or any scratch that can be felt with a fingernail may need to be repainted.

Read on it, buy a polisher, and do it yourself. You can save yourself the money in the long run if you do it once and year and its a great feeling seeing what you did.

I just bought a 2006 330xi it does have a few swirls wat product u guys recommend.
