Jittery Ride
Last week I had the opportunity to test drive an E90 328i and 335i back to back; both were equipped with AT, ZSP. Both are terrific cars (which they should be given what BMW wants for 'em), but I noticed that the 328i, in particular, has a jittery ride - it seemed far less compliant than that of my '03 325i, also equipped with a Sports Package. Anyone know whether the roughness I noticed is due to the run flats, a more agressive suspension in the new car, too much air in the tires or some other issue?
Thanks, Jerry |

If you have the ZSP, you need to get rid of the RFTs to get a smooth ride.
E9X without ZSP on stock 16" RFTs rides very well, but as you get the 17" and ZSP on, it is really nice to change to non-RFT's. It is a world of diffrence. I just changed to Michelin PS2 and its a "new" car. (Feels lighter on its wheels, much much much smoother and more responsive) |

I had an '03 e46 330i sedan with sport package, and the suspension felt a lot stiffer than on my '07 335i sedan with sport package.
Even with the sport package and runflats its quite a smooth ride. |
