335 eats oil?

so the car is 3 weeks old... when I got it the oil bar ( |----| ) was full and said OK, then 2 weeks later it was at |--- | and said OK... now i checked yesterday and it's at |-- | and says OK... is that normal ? my old 330 was drinking oil like crazy, but is it normal for 335 ? oya forgot to add, car has like 1500 miles

Mine is at 4,300km and it still says "OK'.

I won't refill it until the indicator is low or the warning light comes on.

well mine says OK too at 2400km, but I can see it dissapearing little by little... it went from 100% to 75% and now to 50%

The consumption looks a little bit too quick for normal day-to-day driving. Are you tracking the car?

Look at this post, this guy down in the US added in the first quart in 11k miles, that's almost 18,000km!

Yes, it's still at 100%.

I would get worry about the sensor not working if it still shows 100% in 10k.

Remember it's measuring the last quart of oil, NOT the whole amount. so if it's at 50% it's 1/2 quart low, 0% is only 1 quart low. Not much to worry about as long as you keep an eye on it.

5500 miles and still reads 100% full. MY '02 330i ate a quart every 5K-7K miles under normal driving. Keep an eye on it. Some consumption is not unusual.
