Just a Question?

Wondering how many members opt. not to drive in the rain or when the streets are still wet from a rainy day??

+1 for myself

When the roads and parking lots are wet is when I turn off the DSC/DTC and Go Play....

There is nothing wrong with driving in the rain... Premium Summer performance tires are actually superior to All season tires in the stuff...

So why not?

NEVER! Ok, once by accident. I live in the Seattle area, and I still get ripped a lot for this. I had a sept build, and I only have 1100 miles on my car, for this very reason.

yeah I would hate for my car to get wet

ususally when it rains I put on my rainsuit and rollerblades to get around because it would be an awefull shame if my car got dirty

on a side note, if my car did get rain on it, would that contribute to early fuel pump failure? Or maybe uneven browning of toast?

-1 for me, too. Of course, I drive in the rain.

FWIW, I agree with Revlis that the performance summer tires are good in the rain. I don't know about all seasons, but I have to say that the winter tires I have (Dunlop M3) were unbelievably good in the rain/wet. Best tires I've ever driven in the rain.

Guess Im just a freak about my undercarriage being clean or not being able to clean it properly once it gets dirty. I love looking at my undercarriage on a lift and it looking like I can eat off of it.

Dont get me wrong, I love to get sideways and play with my traction control. I just dont think it has to be raining out to do this.

Ive had my car for a month now and its still as clean as the day I picked it up.

Just my 2 cents

I dont mind driving in the rain, a empty parking lot with DSC off is even better.

Well, it never rains in Phoenix so I don't have that issue.

But the desert sun is a killer on a car. I leave it parked in my garage till the sun's down so the paint doesn't fade and the interior doesn't damage. I just walk the 16 miles to work each day.

Well I guess my 335i is a second , or third car for myself. I have an option on what car I drive to work.

I drive my BMW about three times a week, rain or shine. But if I'm going into work after 7:00 AM I'll drive the truck. Why? Because after 7 all of the end slots in the parking lot are full and I don't want to park the BMW next to some idiot that's gonna slam a door into it. Besides, if I never drove the BMW in the rain it would have been sitting idle for nearly the past month.

Driving in the rain is the best part. Turn off that crummy DTC and drift that biotch.
