Good clear bra/tint place
I'm looking to put on a clear bra and probably tint in a couple of weeks (bonus time). I want to be able to do it all in one-stop shopping fashion (think Fred Meyer). Does anybody have feedback (positive or negative) on any local shops? By local I mean Seattle, Eastside, or the Northend.

I want to do the clear bra too. There is one great shop for tint and clear bra in Bellevue area. I forgot what it call, I will let you know once I got home(10:30pm). I got a deal from the owner of the shop. If I can get at least three cars doing all together, then we all get a 20% off. The more cars we get, then the more discount we get. Please notice me if you find a better deal. Thanks!

I had a tint done at Accutint in Seattle on my old car, and they did a great job.
If I can get the required ceramic tint from them at a decent price (I have CA) then I'll use them again. I'm waiting on them to find out if they do the clear bra installation also. |

They does clear bra installation there too. I had my window tint through them and they did a great job. Their service was also great too. The owner was friendly and nicely. I talked to him last week caz I need my car for caler bra install, my wife's car tint and my sis's car tint too. And he said he I can do all at once, then he'll give me 20% off on each car (total price). So, I was woderning if anyone wants to do it together, so I can install a clear bra on my car too. The more ppl we ge togetherm then the more discount we get I believe. Plz let me know if you guys want to do it all together. I have my, my wife and my sis's car down already. One of my firend's E46 is down for it too. So, for sure we will have 20% off. I will contact the owner tmw and see if I could get a better discount by doing all at once.

OK, so I have some details back from the owner of Accutint.
- $100 off the standard price for the Pinnacle F1 tint (ceramic tint, best for cars with CA). List is $400 for coupe, $450 for sedan - so a price of $300 or $350 - $150 off the cost of clear bra application, which includes "hood, fenders, bumper, mirrors, door cups/ edges, and headlights". List on this is $699. - He'll honour the deal at either their Bellevue or downtown Seattle location. - It's a "group buy" thing, so we'd need to let him know who's interested, and get it all done in one go. PM me if you're interested, and I'll pass on details. Thanks, -Alistair Last edited by alistair; 07-30-2007 at 04:49 PM.. |

Hey, agalbraith! The owner I told to was from Bellevue Store. He said the tint for the seden should be around $300~350 and he would be happy to take off 20% off on each car. And it is for either tint or the clear bra installation. And the clear bra install is inclusing exactly the same coverage as you do. So, I think it is cheaper from the Bellevue Store.

Yep - I think we've been speaking to the same guy. The tint price I got was for the more expensive ceramic tint, that is less likely to interfere with comfort access etc. He's happy to give 20% discount on either sort (I think standard metallic tint is the $300 to $350 price, before discount)

Right now for sure, including myslef and agalbraith, we have 8 people already. Most of them are from Bellevue which are my frinds. I am trying to get at least or more than 10 people together. Then maybe we can still negotiate on the price. I have talked to the owner yesterday again. And he is willing to negotiate the price later once we put everyone all together. Just want to let everyone know, any cars are welcome. It does not have to be a BMW owner. Please PM me if anyone is interesting. I am trying to put down all the names and typs of car down for count down. Thanks!

So, how are they going to do this many cars all at the same time? I thought a tint job was like 4 to 5 hours, and I'm guessing that a clear bra is going to be close to the same? So that is something like 8 to 10 man hours per car.
If we have 10 cars show up, they'll need 10 installers to finish the cars the same day (2 installers per car, each "team" doing 2 cars in the day.) Do they have that many seasoned installers? Also, when I called the Bellevue store, they said they didn't currently have the F1 Pinnacle film, but were supposed to be getting it very soon. I guess they just got certified by F1 as an installer. So it seems their experience with this particular film will be rather low. Does that matter? I'm not an installer, and this would be my first car getting a tint job, so I don't know how it works with different types of film. All others have been factory.....

Whazz-up Scollins. Thanks for the BBQ Grill last time. You save us. HA~ I am just counting down for now. And I need everyone's informations of their car and either they are doing tint or clear bras install. After that, I will contact the store owner and give all the infromations to him and make sure he gives everybody discount. Anyone that who is not on the list will not receive the discount. Then everyone will need to contact the owner for the appointment by themselve. We are not going to do it all together at once, caz eveyone will have a differnt time arragment.
For the F1 Pinnacle film, unfortunately I cant give you the answer for that. But as what I know, you should receive the LIFE WARRANTY on the tint and 5 years warranty on the clear bra install. I have tinted my window from them and they provide me a life warranty. The policy are still the same but with discont. Since you have the life warranty, I dont think that would be a problem for the F1 tint. P.S. First, I will need to put everyone all together. Then I will try to do my best to negotiate the price for everyone. The owner would only negotiate the price once I finish the count down. For sure now, we will have 20% off. |

Hey Johnny! I got your text message too. Alright, I'm in on the tint for sure, I'm still debating on the clear bra. I want the F1 Pinnacle (e90 Sedan.) What is the time frame? I'm hoping sooner rather than later. I'd go to the Bellevue location....
Now to decide on the level. They have 35% and 15%. Might go 35% on the driver/passenger fronts, and 15% on the rear sides and back......
