Cracked rim repair by welding

I just discovered a small crack in my right rear rim. Anybody have any experience with weld repairs on cracks? It's on the inside so there is no cosmetic worry. They're VMR 710's. Any thoughts and experiences is appreciated!

Thanks all!

With more inexpensive cast wheels such as VMR's, it is more worth it to just replace the wheel. You can repair it, but it will cost a bit less than a new wheel and will never be as strong as before. As for there being a crack, never repair a crack by welding. Buy a new wheel.

Agreed, you can probably pick one up from VMR in SOCAL for $250 + tax.
