Z4MC Dyno Testing

A few weeks ago I took my Z4MC to the local shop for some baseline numbers...

I live in Vegas, and the dyno wasn't in a climate controlled environment, so we ran it as early in the morning as possible with 96 degree temps, and 23.6% humidity. I also wasn't too pleased with the size of their fan, as you can see.
Despite the lack of ideal temp. and air flow, the testing went well. Results: 287rwhp, 239rwtq.

For real tho, I think dyno'ing your car is cool to set a benchmark for yourself on how much power the wheels get compared to other cars. But like any other test it depends on a huge number of varibles, gasoline being one, and the age of your engine being another You may find that after a few thousand miles on the car if you dyno it again you'll get even better results.

But Thank-ya very much for stating the obvious on all counts. Note the word "baseline". This won't be the only dyno vid that you'll see from this car, I'm sure...

Sounds good dude! I took the dealer demo car that I had for a weekend last December on a dyno day. 1500 miles on the clock, and it ran book figures. The guy operating the dyno was quite shocked to tell the truth, as he expected it to come out around 20bhp short.

Nice Numbers. Seems like all S54 engines have a little dip at 6500rpms. Wonder what causes this? Your dip was a bit smaller than mine...

That is a strong baseline reading given the ambient temp. Some cars come of the assembly more powerful than others, you were lucky enough to get one of the stronger S54's. SWEET!
