Key/ ob died this morning...no recharge? help
Hey hoping someone knows the answer other than buying a new one from the dealership. I don't have comfort access and it's an 09 328xdrive e92.
I walked out to my car this morning and the fob was dead - no warning. Wouldn't unlock the doors or trunk and made no sound. I opened the key and manually got in the car and drove about 1 hour. I think the key is supposed to recharge at this point. However, after parking my car the fob was still dead. I couldn't open the trunk or lock the doors. Totally dead. Any way to get this fob working again? Also, does it need reprogramming - some of my car settings were of as I started it up. ie: heat was cranked to 28 degrees. Although I'm not as worried about this. |

just needs a new battery, however, whether they are available is another question. Batteries are only capable of being charged a finite number of times. Mine is on its way out. You may need a new key...
