CTS V Coupe vs RENNtech powered 335iS

This was a stock Cadillac CTS V Coupe that I ran against. The ground level temps that day was surely hotter than 85° . I thought CTS V coupes ran 11s stock ?

Downpipes arriving on monday and will be installed sometime this week and I will be back on the track again

Best time, multiple times, I did on this event day was 12.2 in those current temps

It looked like that Caddy was an automatic. I hear that the automatic CTS-V's shift VERY slow, making them slower than all of the advertised claims. But it also didn't look like it launched all that hard, which probably hurt its time a little. Either way, nice run!

I think they are supposed to be 12.0 @ 118 or so. If it was an auto, it was deff slower and understandable.

i think you need a rematch cuz i find it very hard to believe that a car that's supposed to be making 551lb-ft torque at 3800 rpm could be beaten by the is. anyway if it does then good for us.

Nice job!

Here's C&D's test sheet on the CTS-V. 12.2 @ 118 mph stock. Probably could run 11s stock, but not a given like a Corvette ZR1.

The CTS-V is a beast, but only achieve 11s on drag radials. I've yet to see one hit 11s on street tires. Low 12s are the norm.

I was thinking the heat had a big impact on its performance that day. The 335iS was just better equipped for those temps.

The 60' was dead on equal for both cars along with traction, and the caddy had the jump

CTS-V can be an animal in the right hands. You found the guy with the wrong hands. Nice run!

From knowing a couple people with V's with mods, bone-stock without a tune, the auto is a slug. Compounded with the crappy tires they're fitted with from the factory, 11's require a little bit of effort put into making the car what it should be. But even those damn sedans make me need a change of pants, been in one with a smaller pulley and a cam, never thought a family car could scare me.

I digress, damn good run.

Perhaps....there is not that much to neglect here, he was driving an auto, and we had dead on 60' . How could he *uck that up ?

I know these cars are beasts when it comes to 60' that significantly has an impact on their ET. This race was dead even on traction and 60'
