F30 foglight trim advice needed

BMW fits different trims around the front foglights to differentiate the sport, luxury and modern lines. On the SE spec there are no additional trims.

Can anyone tell me if the trims fitted to say a sport line would fit the SE?

RealOEM lists F30 parts, you should be able to find your answer there.

It's not direct fit, u'll need to do some mods if u want the Sport Line whiskers on a SE bumper.

i just popped them right out today...unless they decided to put clips in different places of the same bumper, which sort of sounds ridiculous.

2 members from Holland did the swap, one took the easy way & changed the whole bumper, the other did the harder but cheaper way by modding the existing bumper. OP is talking abt putting Sport Line whiskers onto a SE (i.e. basic line).

yeah so you pop out the bottom trim buy the sport ones, and attach the whisker to that. what do you mean?

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partgrp.d...12&hg=51&fg=15

they aren't the same bumper? looks like you can select which trim you want as long as you get the correct bumper for headlamp washer, surround camera, pdc etc? would they do that?

This is a mod that I'm looking to do as well (switching from the Luxury to Sport in my case) so I'd be interested to know if it's a straight replacement.

What's interesting is that when ordering the Sport Line parts you need to decide between 'hot climate version' or not (that's easy for UK dwellers!), Automatic or Sport Automatic (easy enough), and whether or not you have trailer coupling (whatever that is).

It's a straight replacement in ur case. The front bumper has the same part number for all "Lines" cars.

They're not the same. The part number (like for like, i.e. no PDC, washers etc. etc.) is different between basic (SE in UK) & Lines. All 3 Lines (Sport, Modern & Luxury) shares the same bumper.

Makes sense for BMW as it'll make ppl buy a Lines car if they want the whiskers. Doesn't make sense for us cos it limits our choice.

Hi guys,

Quick question on this same topic. I have the 320d SE. Was looking to change to the Sport/Modern style bumber. I have checked the following link and I believe the bumper skeleton i.e. part 1 is same for SE, Sport, Modern and Luxury. Is this true?
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...04&hg=51&fg=15

Now am I correct in saying to change the look of the SE style bumper/fog lamp trim I only need to change my current part 6 to a part 5 or 7 from the following link along with the other fancy bits (chrome finishers/sport whiskers) to give it a better look? Im confused bigtime.
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...05&hg=51&fg=15

Also roughly how much do these parts cost?

Been to the dealership today and checked out the different trims. What I am saying above seems to be true. Anyone know any different?

So does this mean there are no options for the SE trim. I wouldnt wanna mess with any DIY on the new car, would really prefer some custom made options. Im aware you have a lot more options in the US compared to UK...really sad about it. I should have just got the Sportline

Ok. To double confirm this. So Fog lamp cover on Luxury Line bumper can directly be replace with sport line ? Wanting to do this since I've put my order on 3D Design front lip.
