335i questions and CPO price checkand

2011 335i X-drive (sold May 2010)
38k miles
Sport, Cold, Premium, Nav, HK, Paddles
Black/black/aluminum

asking $38,500

I drove it today and it was in perfect condition. This is the first 335i I have driven with a step tonic and I was amazed at how good it was. I've always had manuals, but I might go to the dark side this time.

Is this a good price? Should I be worried about HPFP issues on this car? Anything else I should consider?

Thanks for any help. This would be my first BMW...

2011 335i's have the n55 motor, not the n54 if i'm not mistaken. The n55 isn't known to have HPFP issues...nor really is the n54 anymore.

Not sure why people keep bringing up a 5 year old problem that was resolved through recall over and over again. The HPFP should be the least of your worries, in any year 335i. That shit is warantied for 10years/120k miles ffs and unless the previous owner was a clueless moron, it's been replaced.

Don't go over to the dark side!!!

Anyway, 2011 definitely = N55. There's plenty of info to search on.
The hpfp on the n55 is much more normal than on the n54, I think.

From an engineering point if view, the hpfp on the n54 is a much different design than on a n55. N54's pump is quite the oddball, actually, compared to the rest of the industry's pumps.

(full disclosure: I work on engine components for a living)

Is this e90 CPO or private party?

It's a CPO. In doing some more research it seems to be priced a bit high. I think I'm going to keep looking. Thanks for the info on the N55/hpfp issue. I'm glad it's all cleared up!
