TPMS reset - best time to do it.

I hope this becomes a sticky

I have relative in auto engineering in Auburn Hills Michigan.

He told me today, that at a meeting in germany with MB, they will put a note in their manual the you should not do a TPMS reset on hot days. They say that if you need to reset it, wait till it's cooler in the morning. and

NEVER NEVER RESET IT WITH HOT TIRES.

Some tidbits.

I agree. How much of a pressure drop does it require to activate the TPMS warning?

The only time tire pressures should be adjusted is with cold tires. After the pressures are adjusted, the TPMS should be reset immediately so it is a redundant statement.
