Meth and Pro Tune

Well my car was dropped off saturday for meth install and cobb access tuner pro tune. On the way to the shop, I threw a P3OFF boost leak code and
P2A87 vanos plausibility. I believe this is the exhaust vanos solenoid from the research Ive done. Obviously the boost leak could be solved with new charge pipe and BOV, but if not the shop has a smoke tester. But does the
P2A87 code prevent them from doing a pro tune on the dyno? Does that code put the car in limp mode? WOndering how this should be handled...

Yes it will. The 30FF is likely set as a result of the vanos fault. Just replace both solenoids and change the oil. You should be good to go.

I was also getting the P3OFF code without the vanos code. So Im assuming I also have a boost leak...

Could have just been the vanos solenoid on its way out. Try to be systematic and resolve one variable at a time, then re-evaluate.

You have a boost leak, check FMIC > Charge Pipe > DV's

Hopefully it is the charge pipe pr DVs because the charge pipe is being replaced with an ETS chargepipe, and the DVs replaced by a Tial BOV. Im hoping that solves the boost leak issue. But I hope the vanos solenoid doesnt prevent them from tuning the car. I miss my car lol
