That's a simple repair but will require a paint touchup or entire respray. If you can get to the back of where the crack is, just lay down some reinforcing fiber glass. Then sand down the crack area and give it a coat of filler. Sand smooth and respray. It'll be good as new and you'll never know it was cracked.

If I got behind the lip its fully closed, theres no way to get inside to the rear of the crack unless I cut open the back of the lip. Is that what Id have to do is cut into the back of the lip to get to the crack in the front to put reinforcing fiber glass?

Do you think it would make it a bit more durable if I was to have it wrapped in Vinyl? Maybe that would help?

no. the vinyl will probably tear or just crease. not sure but maybe if you go to an auto parts store and buy some two part epoxy for fiber glass and try to get some on the inside and outside. then just sand, prep, and paint or vinyl. it should work but see if you can get some more advice first. good luck.

If the crack is just from hitting the ground with the lip, then you could just sand it down, fill and sand it smooth and respray. There's no real stress area that needs reinforcing so opening the back wouldn't be necessary. More work than it's worth and would only weaken the lip. Just do a cosmetic touchup and see how it holds up. I would think it would be just fine that way.

If when you sand down the crack, you get through the front lip material, you would then need to fiberglass it from the front, sand the glass smooth, fill sand smooth and respray. I doubt you'd need to do all that, but just in case be prepared to do a more in depth repair. But I think you'll be fine with a cosmetic touchup.
