Will a CF wrap on roof cover up blemishes?

Just wondering if I get a gloss black or matte black cf wrap, will it cover up some minor dents caused by acorns? Dents are not that deep. 1mm.

Will the cf wrap still show shadows from the roof dents?

Thanks

If you don't want any air pockets, they will show, although the CF pattern will take away from the dent with the pattern

I would say you will still be able to see them, maybe not as good but you will still see them.

May want to look into paintless dent removal instead. They should be able to take care of those for maybe $100 or so.

i did the matte 3m cf roof wrap on my lexus to cover a dimple caused by falling ice and for aesthetics. roof is smooth and perfect now. the material is pretty thick and will cover minor dings.

The dents are very close to the roof edge where the moldings come into contact with the roof. It's not on the molding but next to it.

My roof rack damaged it when I made a mistake driving my bike into garage. I was able to stop in time. Bikes are okay. But the roof rack plastic base went down 3mm touching the paint which caused this minor dent.

There are three dents total each on the cornes of the roof rack mount. The shops I went to want anywhere from $225 -$500 to fix this by PDR. Most of them say they will have to drop the headliner to do this.

I went to Crevier BMW dealer, and the lady told me that this can not be PDRd. She said that where the dents are is double metal and therefore must go to a body shop. Estimate is $800.

I can't post pictures on my phone app right now but I will do so when I get home.

Put myself through college working in bike shops. I can't count how many people have ripped bikes off the roof of their cars in garages. Drive throughs spa nice number as well. Glad you didn't destroy your bikes.

here are pics of the damage... is this worth fixing? for $400-500 from the PDR shop? They have to drop headliner. And who knows how many more shit could break along the way when they drop it.

I was thinking now I just live with it, when I ever get a more serious damage, then take it all to the body shop to have them fix it all with a $500 insurance deductible. Would make more sense no ??

I have three shops told me three different stories.

1. Shop #1 is PDR - $500 - must drop headliner. Guarantee to get it out. Lots of positive reviews on yelp.

2. Shop #2 is PDR - $250 - won't drop headliner - wants to try glue method. guarantees 90% removal.

3. BMW Crevier Dealer - $800 - says PDR at these locations are not possible due to double metal plating! Therefore, must go to a body shop to fix this and repaint. Says $800. Asked why need to repaint? Says that when they pull out the dent, it would crack the paint? I am not sure I believe this....

It was bothering me really bad first few days. Now it seems to be getting better on my mind. I guess its just like a withdrawal and denial phase. Money is not an issue for me. But my girlfriend is telling me not to fix it for that kind of money and just let it go.
