Cobb setting before service?
I'm at stage 2+ w the Downpipes, etc.... if I go back to stock setting... will the catless Downpipes throw a code? what do you guys recc'd?
also, will bmw give me a hassle for basic service if the inter cooler, dpipes, exhaust (bmw performance) are on there? can they void my warranty for that if I'm just servicing it? |

If you change the tune from Stage 2+ to the Stage 1 or Stage 0 (Stock) Maps, you'll get an SES light triggered by the catless DPs. You'll need a DP fix to eliminate that light (also to pass an emissions OBD test).
Unless the service department is putting the car on a lift & taking off the underbody shield, they should even know that you have an upgraded FMIC or aftermarket DPs in. The exhaust is made by BMW, so it meets manufacturer specs & cannot void a warranty. |

What kind of service are you having done? Some Service Depts are picky & if they scan and find the tune they'll flip out. Others don't care when it comes to standard service.

Bro, you know the answer. If you like to gamble, bring er in and roll the dice. Your car is almost off warranty anyway...
If you want to make sure... Take it all off Or move to la maybe the dealers there are cooler |
