Help!

I was driving my 07 335i today and everything was fine, I parked the car and a few hours later started it up again. I started driving and it started to shake a lot, so I turned the car off and started it up again, this time I would be at around 2k rpm in 1st and the car would turn off. Then I tried again after a while because I wasn't far from my house and I was fine at around 60km/h but anything more and it would shake, the engine light came on and *engine malfunction* came up. I'll be bringing the car to my mechanic tomorrow, but wondering if anybody has any ideas ? The car has a new engine that was put in a couple months ago and now has over 15k on it. Thanks for any feedback. It also said "low power" I believe

I'm guessing it's the fuel pump. Do you have a BT tool handy or a tune that can read codes?

Low Power = Limp Mode. The High Pressure Fuel Pump prob needs to be replaced (again). Between limp & the problem occuring anytime you reach highway speeds, sounds like you've gone through another HPFP.

without the error codes, we're all just guessing. yes, it could very well be the hpfp. it could also be VANOS. or misfires. or injectors. or a wide range of problems. limp mode indiciates an issue that needs to be corrected. withouth the fault codes, it's impossible to identify what though.
