Cobb review: Went to the local 1/8 mile for "ford" day
Yesterday I was finally able to make it out to make it out to the 1/8 mile drag strip yesterday. As I was passing through tech one of the inspectors made a comment about me being there because there were many Mustangs and my sole BMW. I told him not to worry i'll hold my own.
This was the fist time going to the strip with my stock 335i+tune. Only other upgrade would be the performance dampners. I was very impressed with the v4 aggressive linear tune for my AT. I only made 4 passes on the day because I didn't want to beat on her too much. The car consistently went 8.6x in the 1/8 and rand faster than most of the cars there. Actually I couldn't get anyone to line up with me on my last passes, even a challenger srt-8 that was running 8.3x's wouldn't bite. My best run of the day was a 8.63 @ 83.03mph with a 1.9 60'. I was launching in DS mode while brake boosting to 2000rpm's. I refused to do a burn out on my 275/30/19 hankook v12 street tires. I'm sure if I pushed the car a little harder I could have got an 8.4x. I was very impressed with the Cobb. The car is extremely consistent and pulls fairly hard. I know I definitely had some of the ford guys upset....lol Are these typical 1/8 mile times for a stage 1 cobb?

Should be good for a 13.3/13.4 quarter mile

It really depends on the track. I ran 9.1 out our local 1/8 @ 83mph on cobb stage 1 I'm running 8.3 @ 88mph with 407hp now. 8.6 would beat a lot of cars at our track.

This is depressing since the best i got is an 8.7 with downpipes and DCI on Procede Aggressive Maps.

Thank you, not really a drag car but it certainly can get the job done!
I figured around a 13.5 but the car has a lot of top end so maybe a bit quicker. I figure with heating up the right tires I could probably even do better. Thanks! 19" Iconz 830's.
