Any exhaust group buys?

Anyone else interested? I'm finally in the market for one but hard to justify the price for the AE exhaust I want.

Maybe we can get something started to get some attention?

Depends on the manufacturer, wouldn't be interested in a ricey sounding exhaust

VRSF has something in the works. I'll sign up for that as soon as they're ready as long as the price is right.

If we were to GB, this would be my #1 -- Quality product from a highly respected company & it works for both the N54 & N55. This opens the GB up to a larger audience which should help drive the price down.

AA's got a video here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=628686

The biggest problem w/ an Exhaust GB is making sure we get enough people to agree on a single system. Unlike other products (FMICs, Wheels, etc), a "Good Exhaust" is a very subjective topic.

Here's my 2 cents though:
  • My #1 is the AA Gen 2 system (works for both the N54 & N55 motor)
  • I'm down as long as the exhaust doesn't make the car sound like a road mosquito (*cough** honda civic **cough*) & there's minimum drone (@ least can be cured w/ resonators)

Brad was actually our second test set. These are currently in production now which generally takes 3-4 weeks due to the sheer volume we're producing but they'll be available around August.

As soon as they are 2-3 weeks away, I'll look into starting a group buy

If this is true, can we get some sound clip teasers?

Looks like it's gonna be AA vs VRSF (Listened to some Vanguards last nite, sounded ricey as fux @ high rev, AE would be the 3rd player IMO) -- Tiago, will your exhaust also be N54 & N55 compatible??

Looks like all we need is video clips, price & interested customers to agree on which manufacturer we're going to contact.

N54/N55 compatible. I need to purchase a decent external mic or purchase a camera that has a good internal mic in order to do the exhaust justice. I took a quick iPhone video and it came out horrible.

I may end up having an entire VRSF car. Any updates on the FMIC? You said you were going to post a few pictures a while back but nothing ever popped up. The FMIC has to be close, I think you last said you were on your second revision.

Brad actually has the VRSF FMIC on his car as well, I'll see if he can get some pics up.

I'll be putting our shop 335 back to stock later today. When I do I'll be sure to post some pics of the FMIC we've been using for the past 8 or so months

I've heard AE before, sounds just like stock... I'm down for either AA or VRSF.
