Procede maps and firmware question
Just wondering if you MUST use included firmware for each map. For example, on the Vishnu website, there are two map/firmware bundles you can download:
1) "N54 7-29 v5 User Tuning Auto Tuning.zip" which includes the 7-29 AUTOTUNING MAP + Firmware v108 2) "Aggressive v5 5_23__BETA.zip" which includes the 5-23 AGGRESIVE MAPS + Firmware v111 I have option 2 pre-loaded onto a PROcede now... if I wanted to put the autotuning map on the PROcede, aside from loading the autotuning map (obviously), do I also need to load the v108 firmware? Or is the v111 firmware adequate? Also, when is it necessary to perform the reset commands in Mode 3 (12-->1)? Anytime I switch maps? Thanks guys...

Great, thanks. That's all I needed to know
Edit: Acutally, one more thing... my question regarding "when is it necessary to perform the reset commands in Mode 3 (12-->1)? Anytime I switch maps?"

It is always recommended to reset adaptations when you change firmware/maps. I don't think it is required, but what would your reason be for not wanting to do it?

Umm... one more thing... do you really HAVE to plug the computer in while flashing firmware updates? It seems like Vishnu is strongly recommending it, but I park my car in a parking deck that doesn't have any outlets... I did successfully switch maps while only on battery power... so I don't see any reason why a firmware update while on batteries would be a problem... I get the impression that it's just the "High performance" setting that is important... no so much the actual plugging in the laptop... maybe it's just that computer-illiterate users don't know how to change the power setting to "High performance" without plugging the laptop in? Anyone else update maps/firmware without plugging the laptop in?

I use XP for this stuff on my macbook pro, and i've never plugged it in. i think plugging it in has to do with vista and beyond due to some weird power saving deal the computer goes in to

Sorry for the noob question, can you explain how to use a macbook pro with the procede updates? I thought it has to use Windows/PC? I would love to use my macbook for these updates as well. Any tips or software needed to download for macbook? Thx.
