SOLVED!! Procede Intake Air Temp Glitch Reading?

07 E92, VRSF downpipes, Eisenhaus exhaust, DCI, Procede V5
UPDATE: ISSUE SOLVED
Having some sort of problem with air intake temp reading I think. I initially noticed it while having the Procede oil gauge hijacked to read intake temp. At idle the gauge would be steady and suddenly "glitch" really high for a split second. At that time i thought it was just a bug in the gauge hijacking.
Video of event:

Then I captured this log yesterday.

Pic seems small. Top to bottom rpm, ignition, boost, AFR, fuel trim, air inlet temp
Intake temps spike beyond reasonable levels and timing takes a dive. Then everything returns to happy. I've been told a "bad" sensor would always be off not do something of this nature so that would leave only the procede reading something wrong I guess. Anyone seen something like this, ideas?
Kind of lost so posting here for help.

You sure you're running the correct firmware? Reinstall and reset all adaptations.

Scared to say 100% sure but I'm 99% sure. When i uploaded the firmware/maps I did follow the reset procedure suggested of 1-12 in mode 3. Haven't tried any resets available in the BT tool, not sure if they are more than what the procede resets do.
I've seen this problem on the gauge at least across multiple maps/firmware lately.

Oddly when i got my first procede ever I had a similar issue with the gauge hijacking "glitching" but at the time it was the boost gauge jumping high at idle. At that time a redo on the firmware and reset of procede seemed to cure it. This time I've uploaded a few different maps/firmware lately and haven't seemed to be able to cure it.

This is the first time I captured it on a log. Before I had just been observing it on the gauges.

Try reuploading firmware and maps again. Make sure you reset 12, 11, 10..... In that order.

K. In my post i did say 1-12 mode 3 but i meant i follow the suggested order counting down from 12 to 1.
I'll try to reset everything again when i get home and see what follows.

Another oddity I've noticed recently was that while idling the exhaust note would periodically change to a much deeper/louder note almost as if I had swapped to map0 but only for a split second. With downpipes and eisenahaus the exhaust note of map0 vs map1 is quite different. It even seemed like this would occur around same time I'd see the gauge "glitch." I could be looking for too many correlations but it seemed that way. Maybe my procede is possessed..... lol

Strangely the car feels "normal" during most driving. Only during hard WOT do I usually feel the hiccup seen in that log.

Could also be the MAP / TMAP sensor and/or its connector, or a loose wire around those.

Well...... solved the problem lol.
You guys should get a kick out of this one.
Recently swapped to Progressive insurance and been using their snapshot discount tool.
Today when getting out of my car I glanced down at the device plugged into the OBD port and had a lightbulb moment. Never occurred to me until today that it could interfere with the procede's CAN communications.

Pulled it out and problem is immediately gone.

LOL, I can't believe you would run tuned with a snapshot plugged in. A few WOT and your insurance will double. LOL

It actually doesn't care about speed for discount. Hard brakes, miles driven, and time of day.
Also can't affect you negatively.
I've passed lines of cars with it in hitting 120+ lol

Interesting. I would never have guessed. Never seen a snapshot tool before. Glad you got it sorted out!

The data it records is pretty neat to look at online. I have quite a few trip logs with some speed spikes lol.

It doesn't care right now.
This is just like social networks, data is there once you post it so if they decide to include speed in the rating tomorrow you can't stop them from seeing your past logs.
You know how your bank can change your terms of service or force you to leave, the insurance companies can do the same

Whatever I guess. I'll swap companies again. I seem to save quite a bit hopping around every 2-3 years. This swap from Geico to Progressive saved me ~$300/6mos

Wow, great catch! But as others have said, I'd get rid of anything that monitors my driving. Too much Big Brother watching. It's just warming up the water us frogs are all swimming in.
