AA's new handheld tuner
Has anyone seen this new hand held from Active Autowerke? It looks like you purchase the device and then have to purchase maps seperatly from them. Not exactly sure how it works. Could someone shed some light on this new device?

Everything you said pretty much sums it up lol
The simon tool allows you to move between maps without having to see an authorized retailer or sending in your ECU. It become married to your car though, so it is a permanent tool to keep. |

Once the ecu is flashed to a certain program and flashed to stock, can dealers see a history of the ecu being reflashed? Will there be historical data stored in the EPROM?

ALMOST the same as the COBB. Just like the COBB, you can flash different maps straight through the OBD port. Unlike the COBB, AA's tune is VIN locked = No Resale Value. Also, the COBB let's you download maps right off their website. If you read the description, you need to be in email contact w/ an AA rep to get their maps.
COBB FTW |

Pretty much the same thing as the Evolve tuner.
However, I'm interested to see numbers and how the data logs look. Not all flashes are the same and most don't have full control over the DME logic and I wonder how in depth the AA software is. |

Truu, can't really pass judgement until we see some concrete results: dynos, power numbers, etc
