Importing cars from the US

Anyone know how much it costs to import a car from America to Aus and the approximate duration it takes to send?

Wanting to import an e90 from there :P

You are wasting your time.

There is currently no personal imports program from hte USA, only from the UK.

If you were to commercially import one, the cost savings (even it were an M3) would be hampered severely due to the requriement to convert the car and also comply with ADR's.

If it were possible, I would have already done it.

Why would you want to import one from AU just seems a tad out of the ordinary for a place of origin

haha nothing in particular, but cars are much cheaper in the US with the mileage and year etc

as lusty stated i am pretty certain that it is simply illegal to import a late model car that is for sale through official channels.
