MPG stuck cannot reset

So one day I was messing around with the hidden menu and for some strange reason my MPG on the display is stuck at 22.1 mpg. I can't reset it. It won't reset when I reset the trip meter. I have no idea how I did. The hidden menu is all in German so I wasn't sure what I was looking at, I was just surfing.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Hey man, I think that what you are looking at is not the trip MPG but it is the MPG throughout the entire engine's life. When I first got mine it was at 15MPG from the previous owner (o.O) but I have gotten it up to like 17MPG. Not sure if there is anyway you can reset it, would love to know if you can.

edit: How in the world is yours at 22.1 MPG? That is really high, I can't average 20MPG on a full tank no matter how slow I drive.

you can reset the MPG display by holding the left stalk button down until it clears.

Blingman, it used to work that way before I got into the hidden menu.

Sathoro, I think you have a good point. I think there was somewhere in the hidden knuckles that translated to that. I just have to find that site that had the translation.

Dude, I just got back from the coast and my mpg was 27...highway avg 75 mph probably. I reset my idrive's trip meter since my bc mpg wont reset anymore.

Edit: city driving I avg 20mpg
