Stock wheels, h&r drop, spacer size help?
I have an 09 e92 335xi with VSpoke 188 oem wheels. If I were to lower on H&R sport springs maintaining my stock wheels, what size spacers front/back would I need to make it as flush as possible?
Also...will extended lugs be needed front/back pending the size spacer needed. I think anything 10mm and above they're needed? I'm not dropped yet so I cant just go outside and measure

Thanks for the reply Miami!
Hub extenders, hrm...didn't need these on my ex m3, new to me. I thought hubcentric spacers and bolts...I would be good to go

Yeah 10/12 is what I was thinking would be the right choice. That's actually what I ran too on my m3.

I meant by pushing the envelope without confirming the width you need.
Was wondering why you were thinking along these lines, but since it'd be less for shipping then it all makes sense now. |

I gotcha. Essentially...this is the best thing to do and what I'm starting to lean more towards. It may take a tick longer to complete the next step in my mods but, will ultimately bring what I'm after (which is be as flush as possible).
Getting the drop and then measuring will allow me to see if 12 or 15mm in the rear with my stocks will work better! It seems as though 10mm is what is needed up front and that is that. Again, dropping and then measuring will let me see if I can squeeze 12mm up there. I've never heard of hub extenders being needed for these smaller sized spacers. I didn't on my m3 (I know not all cars are created equal) and hope I don't for the 335 either.

I don't have hub extenders on my 12mm spacers, just extended bolts. With any spacer over 3mm, you'll need extended bolts. Most vendors for BMW sell the spacers hubcentric with extended bolts, so really it's the simplest purchase. The only hard part is choosing the size you want to be flush. You honestly could never be flush with those wheels but you could get close enough perhaps.

this is true, using the word flush is a bit bold. with the stock Offsets I'll never be able to get it to sit there without compromising ride. so yes as close to flush is what I should be saying.
