Viewing Nav Map in Large Window

Where can I find pics of the Nav using the large window with facing north and how far in can you zoom? I want to see if you can see all streets and are they labled easy to see.

Also using the large window with map how much screen size do you really get? Do you feel it's ample size to see street ok?

On some of the pics I've seen posted of the large window there are help icons on the left side, does that bother anyone cause it seems like it would take away from the size of the window making it smaller. The brochure says it's 16:9 but is it really with the icons seems like it makes it smaller.

I've never had a Nav before so I was just wondering if everyone thinks it ample size for viewing while traveling and if someone can show me what resolution looks like zoomed in the fullest.

The map window size is adequate - I wouldn't want it any larger. Zoom goes down to a scale of 400' per about 1/2" of viewing area. All streets are labeled and easy to see at that level.

Resolutions start at 400 feet. The next is 800 feet, then 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile, 1 mile, etc. If you spin the knob you can see the world; or at least the part that is on the disc. I usually keep mine at the 400 or 800 ft resolution unless I need/want to see what's coming up out of view.

I think it's pretty good but you can't get if full screen anyway as a 1/4 of the screen is for a second display. Still it works very well. I usually have mine on 1/4 mile so I can see farther ahead and traffic ahead but can still see the smaller streets that disapear when you go to 1/2 mile.

+1 on keeping it at 1/4 mile most of the time. If you need to zoom in to see a critical turn ("Is it this left or the next one?"), you can just reach down and spin the controller to zoom to 800 or 400, which is more than enough.
