Looking to sell how should i price my car?
Im thinking about selling my car because im thinking about an upgrade and wanted to get an idea from you guys on what the price should be that i put it up for and where i should put it up to so i can sell it quickly. Thinking about getting an m3 possibly.
Here are the cars specs. 2009 335 xdrive 39,000 miles space gray with red interior wood trim exterior black window trims. navigation, premium, sport etc fully loaded with paddle shifters and sport seats. I put on a bmw m sport exhaust got it installed at the dealer. i also have a bmw msport front bumper i got installed at the dealer. i have every service receipt and record avaliable of the car. i bought the car 1 year ago it had 24,000 miles. What do you guys think? |

try TMV from edmunds, and KBB though kind of inflated prices.
then view listings on autotrader/ebay and price what you think is fair. i lowered my asking by $1k and only until then did i receive calls almost everyday about it, before maybe 1 a week. my view on selling - don't cheat people. b/c when you're a buyer, you don't want to be cheated |

I'm thinking you could push for more.
It's an X drive and those seem just as rare as manuals sometimes. Especially with this colour combo. I'd bump it up to 28, 5 at least. You can always come down... Just make sure you get nice pictures up for all to see. Shows your attention to detail and it's the little things sometimes that help ease the buyer's minds. |

Where are you looking? Seems like Autotrader/as well as other auto sites like it..people ask more than what they will ever get.
IMO, you aren't going to get ANY more than KBB as far as mods. Those are too little, too basic. Look at "Good" condition price on KBB, drop it 1K and you'll sell fast...

KellyBlueBook would be a good source of information. It's pretty much the standard now days.

KBB is almost always way too high. I always go with the value of what I can buy the car brand new for and subtract a reasonable amount of depreciation from there. |
