49k mile oil change - should I remove JB4?

I've always removed my tune before getting the car serviced, but this is last time my car will be at the dealer during its warranty period. Should I even bother removing my tune if I'm only going in for an oil change?

When in doubt, pull it out.

+1 although in this situation I would leave it in. It's your last warranty visit.

Take it out, avoid the unnecessary headache if they find the tune or something else wrong (b/c that's wat stealerships find, bullshit wrong w/ your car that they can "fix") with the car when they do the oil change.

Leave it in and set it to bypass mode.

Highly unlikely. The technician doesn't get paid to open up the ECU box and look for a tune if the car is brought in for a simple 10-minute oil change. If it were a major warranty claim, I would remove the tune. For an oil change... waste of time.

then why ask to take it out if you dont care lol

if they arent going to go into ecu, (all they have to do is read your key for codes) then keep it on what ever map you bring it in.

or just tell them the truth to one of the advisors and see if they care...just ask them over the phone and see which one doesnt care.

thats what i did and everytime i go in for service he knows what to do...also i know the service tech and he was cool about it too. they just asked me to take it out if it ever involved some engine work like exhaust or something to do with hardware.
