Sat nav volume

Have had my new baby for 3 days now and I love it

I now look forward to even the most mundane of drives.

But, I find the volume of the sat nav guidance too quiet when I have my music playing even at normal volume.

I can't seem to find an adjustment for the guidance volume. Maybe i'm missing something obvious.

You adjust it with the volume knob as it's talking.

+1
Only when the woman is talking, turn the volume up as you would for the radio and she will issue commands louder. Joy.

This seems so dumb. By the time I get to the volume knob, she's done speaking. Also, sometimes the volume on my radio drops to accommodate the nav voice. I don't get how it all works either.

I find it nicer to just shut her up I mean keep the nav on mute. I just watch the directions on the HUD.

Got to anticipate it. As you are approaching a turn just keep your hand on the dial and then adjust.

Sat Nav Arrival Time

Since you guys are so clued up. I have another question.

My arrival time predicted on the Sat Nav is wildly optimistic. To arrive at my destination at the suggested time, I would have to average 100km/h (60mph) LOL. This is in a metropolitan area.

Any thoughts?

I have not had to adjust the Nav volume since I initially set it, so, yes, it seems to remember it.
