Auto trans fluid
I did a search on auto trans fluid but that just confuse me more. What I found out was that the BMW lifeguard fluid was basically the same as mercon sp that's new fords are using. I don't know what fluid to get its either the shell spec or redline couldn't find much on redline fluid either. What I want is a whole kit for my trans because my sleeve is leaking if not what kind of kits are they?

I used Pentosin ATF 1 in the 2008 335i with great results in hundreds of qtr mile tests, etc.

Nope, never had any trans problems except for trans limp mode (3rd gear default) when running way over 500 hp/500tq Other than that trans ran fine, and continues to run fine. Cracked my trans pan on a rock early in the life of the car, filled it with this fluid, and trans seemed to run better than ever. One forum member said this fluid is superior to the factory fluid.

Probably don't need to replace the Mech Sleeve once its been done, the new one is a revised part that shouldn't leak.

^ Not taking that chance. Might as well replace it with the pan/filter and fluid.

I'm between those two kits price difference isn't to bad I just want to make sure which fluid is better. I been searching and I keep reading bad things about lg6 oil but nothing on the redline fluid. I think I'm just gonna play it save and get the kit from cts and the sleeve.
