About to buy a V1 for my E93 need Opinions
Im about to buy a V1 for my E93, done some extensive research lol and the best...is the newest... so I'm going to buy it from the site, the latest everything.
So my question is: Is this radar going to be worth the money.. i was hopeing for a Meth Kit but i need something that would get me out of my extensive speeding tickets. Most important of all how good is this radar at picking up lazer ka K ect i really did Search but honestly found a lot of good, and i did find a lot of bad about false alerts. thanks in advance! As usual any and all Flames are welcome. lol |

A radar is only as good as the person using it. It's a tool like anything else. It's not a cop detector, or a reason to speed, just a radar detector. Keeping that in mind I've had them in my car for the past 10 years but you need to be smart, it doesnt mean you can drive around speeding, it simply gives you a warning if a cop is shooting radar, or shooting laser at you.
The V1 is notorious for false alerts, but once you have the arrows you hate every other detector. I have friends with passports and everytime their radar goes off the first question is "where is he?". Atleast with the V1 real or not, you know which direction to look. |

I'm having laser jammers installed on my car once I'm stateside again. If you want the ultimate protection get one that protects both the front and the rear. Also, if you're looking for a brand for laser jammers nothing beats Laser Interceptor. Good luck! Last edited by ledorkii; 05-21-2012 at 08:08 PM.. |

Oh yeah, if you decide to get a laser jammer and realize that Laser Interceptor is the way you want to go, take a look at the group buy that a member of our community was able to set up. Ends June 2nd.

Get the V1...
It's not bulletproof, but it will show you where the real ka band is coming from. If laser is being used, either it's too late for you, or you're in a group of cars and can still slow down. It's really used to detect ka radar before you're spotted. Been saved many times by the v1 from ka traps around the corner/underpass. Highway 5S to SoCal is notorious for unmarked cars, and it's picked up kA signals each time I drive through. It's even saved me from a chp on the opposite side of a 2 lane freeway with kA activated. In the city and parts of the freeways, it will go off like crazy, but you'll adapt to to false k and x bands. Caltrans also has equipment that sets off k and x bands. Personally, I think the valentine 1 is the best plug-in unit that exists today and is mainly due to the arrows.

Ive had mine since I got the car, I get some false alerts especially from K band. Would be nice if it had GPS so I could tag them as false alerts but since it tells you how many there are I get used to it and know theres areas with 2 Ks or 1 K every time so if its anything more than that I better be careful. Never gotten a false Ka, and have been saved from a few tickets. definitely worth it
