FBO+Meth vs CTS-V
Had a run with the new CTS-V while trying to do some logs for the new 5/19 firmware on map3.
50/50 mix 94 Oct CM10+CM7 45 Additive 18ohm board 270LB passenger doing logs Run 1: I get the slight jump and as soon as he upshifted, we heard this really loud sound coming from the supercharger/blower and I started to pull ahead Run 2: He gets the jump and I'm at his rear door and I start to reel him but he shuts it down I thought for sure I was going to lose based on my extra weight and for the fact that thing has 560hp and 541tq. This new firmware on the jb4 is incredible though. It's very smooth when the meth kicks in and very consistent. I really think the CTS-V has a poor gearbox or gear ratio because everytime he would upshift, I'd instantly start to pull. |

on a Mustang dyno i saw a V put down 420hp/420tq and i put down 34xhp/38xtq on Cobb stage 2+. I'm sure meth would close that gap considerably and you've definitely got the weight advantage.

thats surprising, what are they trapping stock? low 120's? if i'm remembering that correctly and he was WOT then you were pulling a low 120's car with close to 300lbs of extra weight.

My friend had one for a week. He got rid of it because he was only trapping ~114. NOt sure if that is the norm or if something was wrong with his, either way it was very unimpressive.

G5 board next! Really? No way! I don't believe it *rolls eyes* lol. Obviously a fbo cts-v will destroy me. What's your point? I actually thought a stock cts-v was going to walk me, but it didn't. |

I ran one with with the same mods (i run 99%meth) vs a new one with a tune (auto) and we were even IN GEAR but that freaken auto opened up over half a car each shift. Into 5th it checked out! I am going to rerun him soon with my car on 15ohm and more boost. My car is noticably different now- went from a 115-116mph car to 120-121. Will be intersting since he was on drag radials and I will be now as well
