How thick are new brake pads?

I'm getting ready for my 2nd track day at Road Atlanta, and want to make sure I have enough brake pad to make it through the weekend. The tech information advises participants to make sure they have 50% or more brake pad material. I've been searching, but can't seem to find out how thick brake pads (OEM) are when they are new. Anyone know? Thanks.

I've measured some pads at 10-11mm so if you have atleastl 5-6mm left you should be good to go.

Could you just swing by a dealership and ask to measure a new pad?

Thanks, that makes me feel much better. I've got between 5-6mm so I think you are right, I should be good to go. I guess if I use them up this weekend, I can put BMW's free maintenance to the test! I wonder if they'll give me grief about using up brakes in one year at a little over 18,000 miles?

bumping old post. i just had my brakes inspected and it says my fronts are 10MM and rears are 8MM. the rears were replaced a month ago, how thick are new rears supposed to be?

are my fronts pretty much like new? I've only driven 15000KM on them.
