H&R Sport springs (xdrive)
Hey guys,
I live in Montreal and I wanna know if lowering my car by 1.2-1.3 inches is okay in winter... with all the snow and potholes. Just wanna know if H&R Sport Springs can still be used in winter. What are the disadvantages of dropping a car? I've never done it before... Montreal is full of potholes and crappy roads. Thx! |

I'm pretty low and never had a problem, my car is not xi, but I do use a set of 17" wheel/snow tires for the winter

BMW Sport Package Suspension is already too low for Montreal Winters. I went from Sport Pack to H&R Sport Cup Kit. This is how the H&R Sport Cup Kit sits w/ a full tank.. (non XI though).. I DEFINATELY wont drive it in the winter. Get a beater
Front bumper is the same height (from street) as my Blackberry 9900.. .

I have had both eibach pro kit springs and h&r sport springs, IMO I prefer the eibach springs, the h&r's will drop the front end a little lower not much and look better but ride stiffer, the rears stay about the same with both setups. I felt the eibachs were more comfortable. I would say try to get a of nice set of shocks also to match the springs.
