Anyone have this bmw performance suspension set up for 10k miles or more?
a. anyone running this for 10k miles or more?
1. BMW Performance Suspension V1 2. Bumpstops that came with 1. 3. ZSP springs (all three) b. are you satisfied with the ride? c. Suppose you were to discover that the ride would be a little softer if you replaced the kit bumpstops with the original ZSP bumpstops. Would you switch or regret using the bumpstops that came with V1? thanks for any input or comments. Last edited by mlifxs; 05-13-2012 at 05:39 AM.. |

I have had the V1 kit for over 10k although I paired it up with EPK spring (similar spring rate to zsp springs). I have been very happy with the ride and I find it very comfortable.

thanks. Another member suggested that using the kit bumpstops with the ZSP might be a little harsh under certain conditions and that using the ZSP bumpstops was an alternative if I had any concerns about it. Leaning toward the kit bumpstops but curious if anyone has had a bad experience.

I have closer to 40,000 miles on mine. The ride is definately compliant. And I have noticed no deterioration since the install. I don't remember for sure but I think those dampers were made by bilstein.

I have had the V1 Perf suspension on for 40k as well, but with the perf springs (and M3 bits). I find the ride pretty good, would prefer more travel and more stiffness, hence hoping to find some $ to switch to ASTs.

thanks. I suspect I'm going to be okay with the kit bumpstops and ZSP (won't be too stiff). Cool.
