ECT timing pulls and power loss

The DME starts to pull timing at 110* charge air temps and at around 150* there is -6 degrees of timing. With the less dense hot air and 6 degrees less timing about what does that equate to at 15psi in loss of HP?

Just wondering because I installed the Wagner FMIC today (breeze install of about 30 min) and after numerous pulls to get it heat soaked the last few pulls were around 116* max and ambient was 81*. It was pulling -3 degrees globally so there was still some loss of power but not nearly the same as stock. Temps would return to +20 ambient a few seconds after the pulls.

So what are you trying to ask, if high IAT's can cause loss of power? Because yes it can, and I managed to heatsoak my Helix intercooler only while waiting in line to stage and drag race at the track. I lost about 2-3mph off my trap speed that day compared to a different day where I didn't have to wait for so long, so yeah maybe 20-30hp..

I know there is loss, I was just wondering the amount. 3 degrees of timing seems like it would make a huge difference.

My IAT's when I was able to stage at the track were well over 120 degrees fahrenheit (I view this in real time via my P3 gauge) thanks to being stationary for the majority of the time. I did not log this via my Cobb AP, however I did note the drastic reduction in my trap speeds compared to when my IAT's weren't as hot.

Fuck Florida summer weather!
