Engine coolant change interval?

Hi guys,

I was curious as to what the coolant interval change is for these cars?

I have a 07 e92 335, with about 26,xxx miles. Bought in Feb of 2008. Coolant hasn't been changed yet.

Should I do an engine coolant flush/fill?

No. BMW considers coolant as "lifetime fill", no real need to change it unless it becomes contaminated. Brake fluid, yes. Transmission/rear axle - depends on your preference, although I changed mine at about 35K miles.

Last time I brought my car in for an oil change they recommended a power steering flush and coolant system flush. Mines an 08 with 41.5k

BMW's recommended coolant change interval used to be every two years. Since 2004 BMW claims the engine coolant is a "lifetime fill". I sort of compromise by changing the "lifetime fill" engine coolant every three years or 30,000 miles. There's no scientific reason for that interval, I just chose it because it sounds more reasonable to me than never changing it (until your water pump, thermostat, etc. needs replacement). I use a 50/50 mix of BMW antifreeze and distilled water. IMO, it's not worth risking corroding the engine's aluminum block and head to save a few dollars by using cheap antifreeze and tap water.

I'm definitely going to use BMW OEM coolant. Do I mix it with water or no?

Yes, you have to mix it with distilled water. Just changed mine a couple weeks ago. Same year/mileage as you.
