max tire size on stock front wheels

Anyone know the max tire size that can be fitted to the stock front wheels on stock suspension without spacers etc
I just got some Michelin PSS 275 35 19 for the rear and for the front was looking at 255 35 19. Has anyone done this and can confirm that there are no issues with rubbing etc?

Yes it rubs but so does the stock set up at full lock. I would never have imagined there would be such a difference in grip. The PS2 are great but these ones are way better.
I did mention the rubbing at the dealership and what BMW was going to do about it.
I'm waiting for news concurning this problem .

thanks for the info looks like I'll be going with 245 35 19 for the front, I have also heard great things about the PSS and apart from the turn in being less sharp (compared to PS2) others have also mentioned improved grip with the PSS.

BTW you mentioned rubbing in the front with the stock size (245 35 19). Did you mean with the PSS or does this rubbing also occur with stock PS2 in the front?

Yes also with the stock PS2's at full lock in reverse you can hear a slight rubbing when you turn. Nothing to be worried about though not even with the PSS 255/35/19.
The plastic has enough "flexibility" to cope with it imo

And I don't have it, totally stock suspension, wheel and stock tire sizes but PSS and didn't have it with PS2s either, I guess you need to try and see if yours rub.

I assume you read "the rubbing thread" too (http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=682196).

Grateful to keep us posted on the response of BMW.

Right, mine as another suspension and therefore sits a bit lower wich btw could very well be my luck in this case.
As i said it's only ever so slight that it just doesn't do anything else than keeping the plastic clean on a small surface.
Glad I went with the 255 tyre though instead of the 245 wich sits too stretched on the wheel imo.

I am planning to use the same sizes as you and am happy to hear you have not had rubbing issues. It sounds like there is a lot of variability in the wheel wells, though.
