Hey guys,

I have noticed quite a bit of interest for coilovers, especially from the xi members. Thought we could make a list here for people interested. I have called a few places and they are open to a groupbuy discount, but we will need to get a list gathered.

I chose KW coilovers for this groupbuy for general popularity, warranty and seemingly good reputation.

If you expect the pricing to be under $1200, please don't add your name. I highly doubt we can get that far. If you guys know of any vendors, please let me know and I will contact them and find out group pricing.

Please add your name to the list if you are interested. I know many people will participate depending on their budget, but i thought we could start somewhere and see what we can get.

PS. This is my first time organizing a group buy so please bare with me for anything i have missed or overlooked.

The Groupbuy will end on May 2nd. This will give e90 post members about a week to sign up.

Also, I have asked one of the vendors to round up VW members as he is active on the forums. This is a good idea, seeing that some people may bail last minute, and if anything we will have a good chance for better pricing.

I just checked with Tires23 today. They had the best price so far, then RMP motors. I know there was a GB last year through RMP, so I'd check with those two places. If we can get a group buy together I'm def in! Was ready to order a set today.

I bought KW V3s and got the best price from JRP.

Now, I also bought my BBS RGR wheels from them so I don't know if they gave me a better deal on the coil overs because of that.

I got 6-7 different quotes and the one from them was easily the best.

V1s are just height adjustable. These are for someone who just wants to lower their car and have a nice "out-of-the-box" setting in terms of ride quality.

V2s are height and damping adjustable. These are the more popular of the 2 amongst E90/E92 owners in our experience. You can lower your car and adjust the damping to be soft or stiff depending on what you like or where you're driving (street or track).

V3s are height adjustable and have independent rebound and damping adjustablilty. There are lots of things you can tweak and for most people, you don't need it. These are more for people who split lots of time between the street and track and really want to dial in their car to their exact needs.

The V1s will be the least expensive but a couple hundred dollars separate each variant.

RMP Motors did one for us last year, they can also give you a great deal on in-house installation... Good luck !
