Problemas with panoramic roof...

Hi!
I have an E91 with panoramic roof.
After 10000km it started to do some aerodynamic noises after 80km/h...
I went to repair it in BMW Portugal, however they couldn't do much.
But I have been searching on the Internet and found that some BMW with this roof, and not only serie 3, have aerodynamic noises...
_My question is:
in your case, what have BMW done to repair it?
sorry for the inconvenience, but may be getting some opinions to show to BMW Portugal may do them replace anything in my car...
Waiting for your replies!
thanks!

Sometimes it helps to do some of the dianosis yourself and then explain it to the dealer. In my case I had a whistle that would usually start at about 80 mph/140 kph, or less if driving against the wind. I had a passenger try and locate the site of the noise as best they could -- it sounded like it was coming from the middle of the front of the roof to me, but from the passenger seat it was located on their side of the roof, by the A pillar. I got my stethoscope and placed it in various places to pin-point the noise. Top of the A pillar. Looking in the trim on the rain gutter on the A pillar, there was a hollow piece of plastic. At the bottom (by the hood) the seal was not tight. I placed a piece of tape over it and voila, no more whistle. Checking other E90s at the dealer, it was clear that the hollow piece in my car was a different style.

hi!
Thank you for your reply.
Before I went to BMW, I tried to see why that noise was happening...
The main solution was doing some pressure with my hand, against the roof from inside, so that the noise stopped!
Of course that before I start trying to solve the problem myself, I think that if there is anything that BMW "mother" is making in other wagons, I would like to know to show these at BMW Portugal because of my warranty.
I will try to get a solution too if there is no positive answer on replacing parts of the roof...
Thank you

Our panorama roof has been noisy from day one. So much so that at highway speed you have to leave the shade closed or it will drive you nuts. I asked the dealer to look into it once when they had the car. They gave it the usual diligence of glancing toward the car from 1000 feet away and said "nope, didn't notice anything".

If pushing up on the roof solves the problem then all that has to be done is an adjustment. Any dealer [Edit: with the exception of Ledzep's...] should be able to fix it easily.

In my case, I think pushing it down would solve it. If I push down from outside there is significant play there. Dealer was useless about it though.

Ledzep, you have got to get a different dealer!

The play in the roof at rest is different than when traveling at high speeds. Getting the right amount of tension is critical.
If I win the lottery and get an M3, I am definitely getting the cf roof.

Very good point!

The damn thing is noisy though... like it's open just a crack...
